The Access Pennsylvania Catalog and ILL System is a coordinated resource-sharing program of the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Office of Commonwealth Libraries.
The Access Pennsylvania Catalog is constantly being updated and as of July 2019, comprises of 8.1 million titles, including books, eBooks, periodicals, DVDs, and more. With over 43 million holdings, the Access Pennsylvania Catalog was the first, and remains the largest, statewide bibliographic union catalog in North America.
Since April of 2002, over 1.5 million items, including books, eBooks, DVDs, journals, and more have been loaned throughout the Commonwealth. The Statewide Catalog does not replace strong, well-developed library collections. Individual libraries must continue to develop collections that meet the needs of their communities.
Currently, over 1,500 institutions participate in the Access Pennsylvania Catalog and ILL program.
